"Merry Christmas"

Christmas in JULY!!!! Great idea. I work ahead and make Christmas cards every month, then I am not overwhelmed in November.

This card is more complex than you may think at first glance. I embossed onto black then red card.I hand painted the black with metallic watercolour paints then spliced the two together to create this card. Obviously  I have the converse to. Matt and layering, a sentiment and a paper bow complete my card. It's a big card measuring 10" x 7", so just for handing to friends.

  3. Jackie, this card jumped out at me when I first saw it at Word Art Wednesday, and no, I didn't think it was simple to make. My first thought was, "How did she do that?!" I could tell right away it was detailed. I love how your painted over black card stock. That must really be some strong/thick paint. I looks lovely! I don't know if I have a steady enough hand for that. And that's cool that you have the reverse too. The bow really makes it pop even more too. Someone will love getting this card handed to them this Christmas! Thanks so much for playing along with us at WAW! :)
